We are seeking an experienced Sr. Interior Designer / Project Manager for Multifamily to join Carlyn and Company Interiors + Design in Great Falls, VA. QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of design industry experience in multifamily or hospitality

  • Bachelors (required) and/or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architecture

  • Creative interior design skills, with a strong working knowledge of high-end and unusual finish materials, applications and construction detailing

  • Clear understanding of and ability to work with architectural drawings sets

  • Experience working on the initial project design with a team, including developing Photoshop elevations and 3D renderings

  • Experience in CA including RFIs, Submittals and Shop Drawings

  • On the job Revit experience and Auto-CAD proficiency necessary

  • Fluent in both written/spoken English

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Display extensive knowledge of design principles and effectively communicates design concepts, layouts, practices, and procedures to clients

  • Actively manage client budgets, schedules, and programs; project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks; and project team assignments.

  • Collaborate on interiors projects, including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, and documentation

  • Develop space planning concepts and generate program documents

  • Participate in the development and production of CAD plans, elevations and construction drawing sets

  • Research and write specifications for all finish materials, lighting fixtures, codes, ADA requirements, etc. and input information into drawing set

  • Coordinate and document details with base building architect and MEP team

  • Set and meet tight deliverable schedules based on client’s deadlines
